Human Resources Development Canada, HRDC, has a number of programs, for eligible clients, contemplating specialized career training. Individuals who meet their criteria may be eligible for funding to attend the Academy of Learning.

WHAT IS BETTER JOBS ONTARIO FUNDING?
Laid off? Unemployed or underemployed? Seeking a new career or looking to upgrade your current skills? The Better Jobs Ontario program, funded by the Ontario government, can help. The Academy of Learning Mississauga Campus is here to assist you in joining this program, enabling you to:
- Train for a new career
- Find out what is needed in the job market
- Learn about careers that build on your skills
- Get financial support
How can it help you?
Better Jobs Ontario assists individuals in obtaining the training or education necessary for securing a good job. The program offers financial support of up to $28,000 to cover tuition and expenses such as:
- Books
- Living expenses
- Help caring for dependents
- Travel
- Transportation
- Disability supports
- Other living and training costs
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Better Jobs Ontario begins with a visit to an Employment Ontario assessment centre.
A counselor will discuss your goals and the assistance you need. If Better Jobs Ontario is a suitable option, the counselor will help you create a training plan and apply for the program.
Our career consultants will assist you in getting started and offer ongoing advice.
